Mauve is free of charge, open-source software licensed under the GNU GPL
The current version of Mauve is 2.3.1, released on November 11th 2009.

Support
After installing Mauve, we suggest subscribing to the mauve-announce and mauve-users mailing lists. The mauve-announce mailing list is a low-traffic list on which we make announcements about new software versions with bug fixes and new features. The mauve-users list is a general discussion forum for users of the Mauve software to communicate with each other and resolve usage issues.
Prior to posting a usage-related question about Mauve to the mauve-users list, please search the mauve-users list archives for previous discussion related to the topic. Your question may already have been answered.
Older Mauve releases
An archive of old releases is available at: http://gel.ahabs.wisc.edu/mauve/downloads/. In general we do not provide support for older releases

Latest development snapshots
We have created an automated system to build the latest versions of Mauve software every few days. These development snapshots are not guaranteed to work, but may be useful for experimentation purposes. You may find them at http://gel.ahabs.wisc.edu/mauve/snapshots/
