DescriptionI am an undergraduate Biomedical Engineering student with a strong interest in genetics. Throughout the last three years as an undergraduate at the Genome Evolution Lab, my focus has been directed towards the analysis of the evolution of Type Three Secretion Systems (TTSS) found in enterobacteria and identification of TTSS effectors. Using Plant-Associated Microbe Gene Ontology (PAMGO) terms, I have been annotating Type Three Secretion Systems and other pathogenecity factors in several genomes in ASAP. Additionally, I have been gaining laboratory experience through work with Pantoea stewartii, the causative agent of Stewart's wilt in corn.
